LAS VEGAS, NV – The AArrow Advertising World Sign Spinners Championships took place in Las Vegas this past February 22nd to 23rd at the world famous Fremont Street Experience. The most talented sign spinners competed to be crowned the best in the world and to win a cash prize, as well as for awards like trick of the year, best smile, most creativity, and rookie.
Sign spinning is an extreme sport and work of art rolled into a non-traditional marketing concept. To catch the attention of pedestrians and motorists on the streets, sign spinners perform tricks to increase traffic for stores.
The sign spinners performed a choreographed routine to a song of their choice. Competitors were judged based on performance and showmanship, style and originality, and technicality of trick knowledge and execution. Dj Kn3z came all the way from Croatia to perform!
Mike Wright came out on top and is this year’s champion. He lives in El Cajon, San Diego and has been with AArrow for more the six years, starting at the age of 15.
